First step, turn the garage into a workshop
The garage had useless white cabinets along one wall and an oil stained floor
The garage had a bathroom with shower..how convenient
It also came with a totally useless, big, white, heavy rolling table
And an even more useless central vacuum system
The future CNC room had exercise equipment, sofa and crappy TV
After stripping the carpet, painting the walls and epoxying the floor
The tools start to arrive
A 220 outlet was installed for the welder
This is how the shop looked on the day it was finished. It would never look this clean again. Note the custom-made welding table with 3/8" solid steel top
Tables on wheels are nice
The work table wheels are on air cylinders. When inflated, the table moves easily. When deflated, it sits solid
Dust collection is provided for all machines with a dust port
Air dryer is installed for spray painting
Finally, a decent table saw
And a nice vice
The original dust collector proved underpowered, and was replaced with a bigger one
The cold cut metal saw is mounted on a rotary bearing to make use of the material supports when mitering
The shop sink is actually a fiberglass bathtub. It was listed on the real estate ad as a dog wash station, but it makes a GREAT shop sink
