Costa Mesa Studio

After moving to Costa Mesa to work with Innovision, I decided to build another studio

It was nowhere near as nice as the Fullerton studio. It was in an apartment, with no soundproofing

We recorded and mixed with headphones. All instruments were electronic and nearly silent

I wrote a computer music sequencer that I called MidiCAD. It was synced to the tape machine. This allowed MIDI parts to be sequenced and played with live parts

We recorded one project there. It came out OK, but failed to capture the magic of The Church

Some special times just can't be re-created

Here is a link to my music site, and the one project recorded in Costa Mesa

I built this computer desk in the Fender model shop. As Fender was shutting down, the VP of R&D let me use the shop for one last project

I scraped the acoustical foam off the wall at Reichert-McBain. They didn't want it, and said I could have it if I scraped it off
